Résumé

L’odontome est une tumeur odontogénique généralement asymptomatique. Fréquemment, il interfère avec l’éruption dentaire. Nous présentons le cas d’un garçon âgé de 11 ans présentant un retard d’éruption de son incisive centrale. Dans ce cas clinique, l’hypothèse d’un odontome interférant avec l’éruption correcte de la dent est posée. Nous décrivons les différentes étapes du traitement. À travers cette expérience clinique, nous soulignons l’intérêt d’une prise en charge chirurgicale associée à la mise en place d’un dispositif de traction orthodontique.

Abstract

The odontoma is an odontogenic tumor usually asymptomatic. Frequently, it interferes with dental eruption. We report the case of 11 years old boy with an eruption delay of the central incisor. In this case, the hypothesis of an interfering odontoma is made. We describe the different stages of treatment. Through this case, we emphasize the importance of a collaboration between surgeon and orthodontist.
