Un cas rare d’un lymphome non hodgkinien type B du sinus maxillaire

A rare case of a type B non hodgkin lymphoma of maxillary sinus

Résumé

Les lymphomes non hodgkiniens (LNH) sont des tumeurs rares des maxillaires. Leurs localisations aux cavités aériennes de la face arrivent en second rang. Nous rapportons le cas d’un LNH primitif localisé au sinus maxillaire chez un patient de 47 ans, qui illustre les difficultés diagnostiques rencontrées face à une symptomatologie peu évocatrice. Le diagnostic fut confirmé par l’examen histologique. L’évolution fut favorable après un traitement médical à base de chimiothérapie polyvalente associée à une radiothérapie externe. À partir de cette observation, nous ferons une revue de la littérature pour faire le point sur les aspects cliniques, radiologiques, histologiques, thérapeutiques et évolutifs de cette affection rare.

Abstract

Non-hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) are rare tumors of the jaws. their locations in the air spaces of the face coming in second row. We related the case of a primitive NHL located in the maxillary sinus in a patient of 47 years, which illustrates the diagnostic difficulties encountered face a little suggestive symptoms. The diagnosis was confirmed by histological examination. The evolution was favorable after medical treatment based chemotherapy combined with versatile external radiotherapy. From this observation, we will review the literature in order to review the clinical, radiological, histological, therapeutic and outcome of this rare disease.
